The dunes at the Bay of Achnahaird, exposed as they are to the full force of the elements, are continually changing shape. Under the prevailing light that evening, the sand took on an exceptionally pale tint. While the hoped-for drama in the sky didn't quite materialise, it was nevertheless a beautiful place to be as the sun set.
